Why is the option to select multiple account values disabled

The Flash Reports Account Balance function supports the option of selecting multiple values  for certain of the parameters. When multiple values are specified the individual accounts, classes etc. are delimited by a known character. This character defaults to a comma. However if your QuickBooks data includes a comma in any values this would cause a problem. Flash Reports detects this situation during the login and if a conflict is found, the multiple values functionality is disabled.

On the Settings screen settings-80 you have the option to select a different delimiter. Proceed as follows to change this setting:

  • On the Flash Reports menu click the Settings button.
  • Select an appropriate Account Delimiter character which you know does not clash with any of your QuickBooks data.
  • Log out  to clear the data for the current session.
  • Log in again so that Flash Reports can process your QuickBooks values against the new Account Delimiter. As long as this new character does not exist in any of your QuickBooks data the multiple values functionality will be enabled again.
