Reset the Flash Reports Excel Add-in
Excel provides a way to reset installed Add-ins. This might be required if Excel loses its connection to the add-in or if a change is made that requires Excel to reregister the Add-in. The process simply clears all temporary add-in files which results in them being automatically recreated the next time they are needed. Proceed as follows:
- In Excel click on the "File" menu and select "Options".
- The Excel options window opens. Select "Trust Center" and then "Trust Center Settings..."
- In the Trust Center screen select "Trusted Add-in Catalogs". Then tick the option shown below to clear the add-in cache.
- Now simply click Ok to close the settings window and close Excel.
- This process will delete the temporary Add-in files (cache) and they will be recreated when the Excel loads the next time. This will reset the connection between Excel and Flash Reports.
- Start Excel. If the Flash Reports Add-in loads the process is complete.
- If the Add-in does not load again automatically, on the Excel ribbon toolbar select Home/Add-ins/+More Add-ins
- Select "My Add-ins", click the Flash Reports Add-in and click Add.
